Welcome to Express Couriers
Who we are and our Origins
Express Couriers was formed back in 1991 by myself, Alexander Wilding & My father Alexander Watt.
At the time of our origins we were operating a highly successful vehicle Recovery and Repair business. We also had 2 vans sitting which were available for Hire however this was not maximizing their potential....
One morning my father came into our office with an advert for "Couriers Required in Fife" from a national newspaper, Exclaiming "its time to get these vans to work son".
Within a week we were the NCN (National Courier Network) Contractor for the Fife area and within a couple of months we had been approached and appointed the preferred contractor for Red Star Parcels in Fife & Lothian, operating 6 large vans at the time.
Following the collapse of NCN and the sale of Red Star we decided to turn our focus onto the Sameday / ADHOC side of the industry having built a good strong client bank with whom we had forged good professional ties with.
Sadly in May 2015 my father Alexander Watt lost his long battle with illness, however his legacy and memories, along with all the hard work he put in to help establish Express Couriers as one of the leading businesses in our profession live on.
Today, Express Couriers operates a large Fleet of vehicles tailored to needs and business requirements of our clients. We operate 4x4's, small and large vans upto and including 3.5tonne Drop-side Vehicles, aswell as a fleet of Temperature Controlled vehicles. We operate thoughout Scotland and the remainder of the UK along with our European dedicated vehicle service on a daily basis.
Over the past 25 years we have successfully built up an excellent relationship with some of the most successful Global, National, & Local businesses in their respective fields.
I would like to thank all Clients, friends & family for making this possible .
